Q. What type of uniforms are given to NDA Cadets?

Ans. NDA Cadets get several uniforms, including service dress, ceremonial dress, PT (physical exercise) sets and root dress.

Q. Are uniforms different for the Army, the Navy and the Air Force?

Ans. Yes. In the third year, cadets have a branch-specific uniform that reflects their respective service: Khaki (Army), White (Marine) or Blue (Air Force).

Q. Who provides the uniforms at NDA?

Ans. The uniform is released by the Academy, and the costs are covered by the government. Cadets don’t have to buy them on their own.

Q. Is there a specific grooming or hairstyle standard?

Ans. Actual. Cadets require an immaculately shaved face and short, streamlined haircuts.

Q. What is the dress code for Physical Training?

Ans. PT attire includes T-shirts, shorts/tracks, socks and sports footwear, commonly in preferred academic-provided colours.

Q. Are cadets allowed to individualise their uniforms?

Ans. No, uniforms should be used strictly with the right brand, nameplate and ranking, according to the rules. Privatisation is not allowed.

Q. How often is the uniform inspected?

Ans. Cadets frequently go through uniform inspection, and disciplinary remedies may be initiated for fractures or lack of hygiene.

Q. Do cadets get different uniforms for each term?

Ans. Yes. The kind and range of uniforms evolve as cadets develop over time and get assigned to their respective wings.
