On the first day of the SSB, before the screening process, all candidates are required to participate in the PPDT, or Picture Perception and Description Test. This test involves candidates writing a story inspired by a displayed image, followed by a discussion of their narratives with fellow candidates. Quickly realizing the seriousness of the situation, he jumped into action. With a fire extinguisher in hand, he calmly guided his coworkers to safety, showing great teamwork. He also made sure to call the fire brigade so they could help put out the flames. Thanks to Aman’s quick thinking, everyone got out safely, and the fire was brought under control. He couldn’t help but feel proud, knowing his fast response made a real difference for his friends and colleagues.

2. Gaurav, a 30-year-old educator from the Farrukhabad district, was enjoying a weekend stroll through the market when he observed a thief abruptly snatching a necklace from a woman. Without a moment’s hesitation, Gaurav took action and pursued the thief. Within a short time, he successfully caught and restrained the individual. With the help of bystanders, Gaurav brought the thief to the local police station. He then returned the necklace to the appreciative woman. Additionally, Gaurav recommended to the police that they implement regular patrols in the area to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

3. Gaurav, a 26-year-old aspiring civil servant, returned to his village, Ibrahimpur, after completing his examinations. He found that many farmers in the area were struggling financially and lacked essential farming tools. Motivated to make a difference, Gaurav collaborated with the village head to organize a meeting for the farmers. During this gathering, he informed them about various government programs, including the Kisan Credit Card Scheme and the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, designed to support agricultural workers. Gaurav also made it a point to keep the farmers informed about new initiatives and guided them on how to access these resources effectively. Thanks to his dedication, the farmers of Ibrahimpur Village are now enjoying improved livelihoods through these government-supported programs.

4. Kartik, an 18-year-old eleventh grader at City Montessori School in Lucknow, took the initiative to plan an unforgettable Teacher’s Day Celebration two weeks before September 5. He gathered his class to brainstorm creative ideas, resulting in a heartfelt plan that included a slideshow honouring their teachers, a themed assembly, outdoor activities like races and football, a tug-of-war between students and teachers, and a delightful tea party. The students collaborated by pooling resources and dividing tasks, with Kartik overseeing the design and organizing of the tea party. They even crafted personalized greeting cards to invite the teachers. On the day of the event, everything unfolded perfectly, leaving Kartik and his classmates thrilled to have created a truly memorable celebration for their teachers.

5. Satish, a captain in the Army, was stationed in Kashmir. Upon returning home for the holidays, he organized a small gathering with friends. During the get-together, he noticed one of his friends lighting up a cigarette in front of his child. Disturbed by this, Satish intervened and addressed the dangers of smoking, highlighting its link to diseases like cancer and the negative impact it has on children. He also recommended some meditation techniques and nicotine gum to help his friend quit smoking. A few months later, Satish reached out to his friend by phone and learned that he had successfully stopped smoking. This news brought Satish great joy.

6. Ankit, a 28-year-old milkman residing in Barabanki, encountered a troubling situation one day while delivering milk to a customer. He discovered that the door was locked, and he could smell gas emanating from inside the house. Acting swiftly, he contacted the homeowner to inform them of the alarming circumstances. After discussing the issue, they devised a plan. Ankit secured a rope from a neighbour and skillfully climbed through the window into the house. He promptly turned off the gas supply and made his way back out safely. Thanks to his quick thinking and decisive actions, the potential danger was averted, earning him the gratitude and praise of the homeowners.

7. Shiva, a 17-year-old in 12th grade, held the position of head boy at his school and took on the task of organizing the annual function. After consulting with his teachers, he finalized the date, time, and venue for the event.

On the day of the Parent-Teacher Meeting, he posted a notice on the bulletin board, handed out invitations to parents, and delegated tasks to the council members. He meticulously managed the event details, including seating arrangements and refreshments, and extended an invitation to the chief guest. Everything unfolded as planned, earning him praise from everyone, which brought him great joy.

8. Aakash, 21, was on his way to college for his semester exams when he noticed an accident in an alley near Kanpur Road. A man on a scooter had collided with a car and was lying on the ground. Without hesitation, Aakash rushed over, and with the assistance of bystanders, he lifted the scooter off the man and helped him into the backseat of the car. He instructed the driver to speed to the nearest hospital while he wrapped a cloth around the man’s injury.

Once they arrived, Aakash, along with the driver, ensured the injured man was admitted promptly. He then contacted the man’s wife, providing her with directions to the hospital. When she arrived, he informed her about the accident and the details of her husband’s admission before finally heading to college for his exam.

9. Captain Sushank was assigned to the elevated regions of Ladakh. One day, he received directives from his superiors to arrange a trekking expedition with his team. Excited by the prospect, Sushank called a meeting to discuss a preliminary plan for the adventure. Together with his team, he mapped out the route and established a timeline for the trek. On the day of the event, Sushank equipped each team member with essential gear, including maps, compasses, shoes, ropes, walking sticks, and kit bags. With high spirits, they began their ascent up the mountain. The mission was accomplished, and the senior officers praised the collective efforts of the team.

10. Nishant, the newly appointed Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Lucknow district in Uttar Pradesh, identified a valuable opportunity to enhance the riverfront along the Sai River, situated between the villages of Jabraila and Utraura. He crafted a detailed plan and organized a meeting with forest officials to obtain the necessary approvals. Following this, he initiated a tender process to hire contractors, stressing the importance of completing the project on schedule.

In addition to essential amenities like ferry services and food stalls, Nishant aimed to incorporate recreational options such as kayaking and dedicated cycling paths. He placed a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, ensuring regular waste management practices were in place. The riverfront was initially open to the public for a month without charge, after which a ticketing system was introduced to support ongoing maintenance. This initiative garnered considerable public interest.
