Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 Selection Process
Indian Air Force selection process contains two phases: Phase 1 is the online written test, and Phase 2 consists of Physical Efficiency Test, Adaptability Test, and Medical Test. Below, we have mentioned all the details:
Phase 1: Online Test
- Conducted in CBT mode
- Group X: English, Physics, Mathematics
- Group Y: English, Reasoning & General Awareness
Phase 2:
Physical Fitness Test: Candidates must possess a high level of physical fitness to be eligible for the Indian Air Force. To assess this requirement, a physical fitness test is administered, encompassing the following criteria.
- 1.6 Km running in 06 minutes 30 seconds.
- 10 Sit-ups in 1 minute
- 10 Push-ups in 1 minute
- 20 Squats in 1 minute
Adaptability Test: All individuals who complete the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be required to take the Adaptability Test, an objective written examination designed to evaluate a candidate’s fitness for employment within the Indian Air Force (IAF). This assessment aims to determine the candidate’s capability to operate effectively in diverse geographic terrains, varying weather conditions, and different operational environments.
Medical Test: After candidates complete the Physical Fitness Test, they will undergo a medical examination. The medical standards set by the IAF are quite rigorous, and candidates have to satisfy the vision, hearing, and overall health requirements established by the Air Force. This examination will involve assessments of general fitness, eyesight (whether or not they wear glasses), hearing, and overall physical condition.
