- Every year on 05 September, Teachers’ Day or Shikshak Divas is celebrated in India. It is celebrated on the birthday of the educationist and former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was the first Vice President of India (1952-1962). He became the second President of India (1962-1967). He was born on 05 September 1888. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1954 and the Templeton Prize in 1975.
- The National Annual Report & Index on Women’s Safety (NARI) 2025 was released by the National Commission for Women (NCW). The survey covered 12,770 women across 31 cities in India. The national safety score is 65%, meaning 40% of women feel unsafe despite government assurances. 60% of women reported feeling safe, while younger women under 24 reported harassment at 14%, double the national average. Kohima, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Aizawl, Gangtok, Itanagar and Mumbai are the safest cities.
- India unveiled its first fully indigenous 32-bit microprocessor, Vikram 3201, at Semicon India 2025. It is designed by Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) and fabricated by Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Chandigarh. Vikram 3201 is designed specifically for rockets and satellites, unlike processors in smartphones or laptops.
