- China recently released footage of the YJ-20 hypersonic anti-ship missile launched from a Type 055 guided missile destroyer. Also known as Eagle Strike-20, this missile was first displayed during China’s Victory Day parade on September 3, 2025. It is designed to target high-value naval assets, like aircraft carriers, at long ranges and features a biconic shape for controlled gliding after boost, helping to shield control surfaces from extreme heat.
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted the first flight test of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR-120) at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha. This precision-guided rocket, developed for the Indian Army’s Pinaka Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), has a maximum strike range of about 120 kilometers. It was developed by the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE) in collaboration with the Research Centre Imarat (RCI) and the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL).
