NDA Eligibility 2025:
The NDA Exam is held twice a year for 12th-appearing and 12th-passing students who meet eligibility criteria. The NDA exam dates are released on the UPSC official website.
Nationality:
- The applying candidate must be an Indian citizen/ subject of Nepal/ subject of Bhutan/ refugee of Tibetan who came to India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently in India.
- Candidates who have migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Zambia, Tanzania, Zaire, Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, or Vietnam with the intention of settlement in India are also eligible.
- Candidates who are foreign nationals (except Gorkhas) will be required to produce a certificate of eligibility, which is issued by the Government of India.

Gender, Age Limit & Marital Status:
- Male & female candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.
- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates will not be allowed to marry until they complete their training period.
- The applying candidate’s age should be between 16.5 and 19.5. For NDA 2 2025, the candidate must have been born between 2 January 2007 and 1 January 2010. For NDA 1 2026, the candidate must have been born between 2 July 2007 and 1 July 2010.

About NDA Exam 2025:
Qualification:
- For Air Force & Naval Wings (Cadet entry scheme): 12th Appearing or Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th level with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- For Army Wing: 12th Appearing or Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th levels from a recognised board or university. Students from any stream are eligible for NDA 2025.
- Appearing: Students appearing for the 12th level are also eligible to apply. 11th Appearing students are not eligible for NDA.
Fitness:
- Applying candidates must be physically fit as per the physical standards set by the Commission of NDA admissions.
- Candidates who have withdrawn or resigned from any training academies of the Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds are not eligible.
NDA 2025 Height and Weight Chart:
There are also certain relaxations provided for candidates from hilly areas and tribal regions (like for candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh, etc.).
Weight Criteria:
The weight of the candidate should be proportionate to their height. Below is a general weight chart based on height:
