NDA 1 2027 Eligibility Criteria:
The NDA Exam is held twice a year for 12th-appearing and 12th-passed out students who meet the eligibility criteria. The NDA exam dates are released on the UPSC official website.
NDA 1 2027 Age Limit
NDA 1 2027 Age Limit => Candidate must have been born between 1st July 2008 to 1st July 2011. (Both dates are included.)
NDA 2 2027 Age Limit => Candidate must have been born between 2nd January 2009 to 1st July 2012. (Both dates are included.)
Education Qualifications
For Air Force & Naval Wings (Cadet entry scheme): 12th Appearing or Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th level with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
For Army Wing: 12th Appearing or Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th levels from a recognised board or university. Students from any stream are eligible for NDA 2026.
Appearing: Students appearing for the 12th level are also eligible to apply. 11th Appearing students are not eligible for NDA.
Marital Status
- Male & female candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA.
- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates will not be allowed to marry until they complete their training period.
Nationality:
- The applying candidate must be an Indian citizen/subject of Nepal/subject of Bhutan/refugee of Tibetan origin who came to India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently in India.
- Candidates who have migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Zambia, Tanzania, Zaire, Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, or Vietnam with the intention of settlement in India are also eligible.
- Candidates who are foreign nationals (except Gorkhas) will be required to produce a certificate of eligibility, which the Government of India issues.

Physical Fitness:
- Applying candidates must be physically fit as per the physical standards set by the Commission of NDA admissions.
- Candidates who have withdrawn or resigned from any training academies of the Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds are not eligible.
