- Army Hospital (Research and Referral), Delhi, performed India’s first 3D Flex Aqueous Angiography with iStent. The procedure combines advanced imaging with minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness with silent progression. The surgery used a stand-mounted Spectralis system and a 3D operating microscope. The breakthrough allows real-time visualization of aqueous outflow pathways. Surgeons can deliver precise, targeted interventions, improving patient outcomes. The procedure positions Armed Forces Medical Services at the forefront of global ophthalmic care.
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully launched two Pralay missiles from the same launcher off the coast of Odisha as part of user evaluation trials for the Indian Air Force and Indian Army. Both missiles followed their planned trajectory and met all flight objectives, with tracking conducted by the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur and onboard telemetry systems. Pralay is a solid-propellant quasi-ballistic missile with high-precision guidance, capable of carrying various warheads. It was developed by the Research Centre Imarat in Hyderabad and supported by other DRDO laboratories.
